1. A system comprising:
a central data center located at a first geographic location, the central data center comprising a call control service, the call control service containing an interactive voice response (IVR) component configured to remotely communicate, via a communications network, with a plurality of redundant media servers running in a managed service provider data center at a second geographic location; and
the IVR component further configured to transmit one or more IVR scripts to a database shared by the plurality of redundant media servers, the one or more scripts defining a flow of automatic voice prompts, corresponding menu selections, and instruction that, when executed, perform the flow of automatic voice prompts to callers and collect and handle corresponding selections from the callers.
