1. A system configured to connect care seekers with care providers for caretaking needs, the system comprising:
non-transitory electronic storage storing:
seeker profiles for users who are defined as care seekers, individual ones of the seeker profiles describing characteristics of individual ones of the care seekers, the seeker profiles comprising a first seeker profile for a first user who is one of the care seekers; and
provider profiles for the users who are defined as care providers, individual ones of the provider profiles describing characteristics of individual ones of the care providers; and
one or more physical processors configured by machine-readable instructions to:
effectuate presentation of a user interface on a computing platform associated with the first user who is one of the care seekers, the user interface being configured to facilitate generation of a new provider profile by the first user so that the new provider profile is for a new user, such that the new provider profile i) describes characteristics of the new user as defined by the first user who is one of the care seekers, and ii) defines the new user as a new one of the care providers;
obtain user input information describing a set of characteristics of the new user as input by the first user through the user interface, a characteristic in the set of characteristics including a relationship characteristic, the relationship characteristic indicating a familial relationship between the first user and the new user; and
generate, based on the user input information, the new provider profile for the new user so that the new user is thereafter defined as one of the care providers, wherein generation of the new provider profile causes the new provider profile to be made available for selection by the first user and one or more other users.
