1. A method of providing a haptic effect in a first zone of a plurality of predetermined zones, the method comprising;
employing closed-loop feedback to control at least one actuator included in the first zone to provide the haptic effect;
determining at least one of an adjacent zone of the first zone and a non-adjacent zone of the first zone; and
employing closed-loop feedback to control at least one actuator included in the determined at least one of an adjacent zone and non-adjacent zone to reduce or suppress the haptic effect in such zone, said control of at least one actuator included in the determined at least one of an adjacent zone and non-adjacent zone effected to reduce or suppress the haptic effect in such zone based on at least one of feedback information associated with the at least one actuator included in the first zone and feed forward information associated with the at least one actuator included in the first zone.
