a management system;
a computing system; and
a communication system that is included in the computing system and that is coupled to the management system, wherein the communication system is configured to:
prevent storage of data on the communication system without operating software authorization;
receive, from the management system, a second operating software image, at least one second application/service, and the operating software authorization;
store, in response to receiving the operating software authorization, the second operating software image and at least one second application/service on the communication system;
authenticate, via second secure initialization operations performed by a Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) system that is included in the communication system and using authentication information stored in the UEFI system, the second operating software image and the at least one second application/service; and
replace, in response to authenticating the second operating software image and the at least one second application/service, a first operating software image and at least one first application/service on the communication system with the second operating software image and the at least one second application/service on the communication system.
