1. A Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe) device, the PCIe device comprising:
a first physical function managing a PCIe link and receiving function mode control information from a host;
a plurality of second physical functions assigned to a plurality of system images and respectively enabled or disabled according to respective operation modes; and
a function mode controller setting the operation modes of the plurality of second physical functions based on the function mode control information, each of the operation modes being set to one of an active mode and an inactive mode,
wherein one or more second physical functions set to the active mode, among the plurality of second physical functions, perform a configuration operation in which configuration spaces respectively corresponding to the one or more second physical functions are set, and provides physical resources of the PCIe device to one or more system images assigned to the one or more second physical functions among the plurality of system images, and
wherein remaining second physical functions set to the inactive mode, among the plurality of second physical functions, stop providing the physical resources to remaining system images assigned to the remaining second physical functions among the plurality of system images according to clock gating.
