1. A system, comprising:
at least one processor; and
a memory, storing program instructions that when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to implement a time series processing system, configured to:
capture respective statuses of a time series processing task operating on different portions of a time series;
store the captured respective statuses of the time series processing task operating on the different portions of the time series;
receive, via an interface of the time series processing system, a request for the respective status for a first portion of the different portions of the time series;
access the stored respective status of the time series processing task to identify a failure status as the respective status of the time series processing task operating on the first portion of the time series; and
return a response to the request that comprises the failure status and a reason for the failure status generated, by the time series processing system, based, at least in part, on a result of one or more operations performed as part of the time series processing task.
