1. An electret web comprising a blend comprising:
a thermoplastic resin; and
a charge-enhancing additive comprising a substituted heterocyclic thiol, wherein the electret web is an electret web, wherein the substituted heterocyclic thiol comprises a compound with the general structure of Formula 1:

A comprises an aromatic or heterocyclic aromatic group.
