1. A method for removing speckle from an image frame depicting a surgical site, the method comprising:
instructing an emitter to emit coherent light, wherein the coherent light is transmitted to a surgical site by way of a fiber optic bundle, and wherein the fiber optic bundle comprises:
a first fiber optic bundle;
a second fiber optic bundle; and
a vibrating connector that couples the first fiber optic bundle to the second fiber optic bundle;
actuating the vibrating connector to vibrate the first fiber optic bundle and the second fiber optic bundle to cause the coherent light to lose coherence;
causing an image sensor of an endoscopic device to output a dataset, wherein the dataset corresponds in time with emission of the coherent light by the emitter; and
creating the image frame depicting the surgical site based on the dataset.
