1. A wireless communication system, the system comprising:
a wireless network for wirelessly communicating with a mobile handset, wherein the mobile handset comprises a plurality of antennas that point in a plurality of different directions;
wherein the wireless network comprises a plurality of nodes, wherein the nodes include a plurality of different base stations that are configured to wirelessly connect with the mobile handset via the antennas so that data is communicable between the mobile handset and the different base stations as a plurality of different wireless signals and in accordance with directionality of the antennas, wherein the different wireless signals are (1) respectively received by the different base stations from the antennas or (2) respectively transmitted by the different base stations to the antennas, wherein the data comprises a plurality of streams that are encoded by the different wireless signals; and
wherein the nodes further include a plurality of repeater nodes that are configured for wirelessly communicating the data as a plurality of millimeter wave wireless signals that propagate through the wireless network to or from the different base stations via multiple paths within the wireless network, and wherein the millimeter wave wireless signals include repeated versions of the data.
