1. An upper for an article of footwear, comprising:
a knitted component, comprising:
a yarn that forms a plurality of loops of a course; and
an inlaid strand that extends through the course;
wherein the yarn and the inlaid strand are fused together with a thermoplastic polymer material,
wherein the inlaid strand extends through at least a portion of the plurality of loops along a first path that is substantially linear, and
wherein the plurality of loops extend along a second path that circumscribes the first path.
