1. A method of attaching a magnetic element to a needle assembly, the needle assembly including a cannula extending along a longitudinal axis, the method comprising:
placing the magnetic element in a magnetic field causing a magnetic axis of the magnetic element to align with the magnetic field; and
subsequent to placement of the magnetic element in the magnetic field and alignment of the magnetic axis of the magnetic element with the magnetic field, securing the magnetic element to a portion of the needle assembly while the magnetic element is aligned with the magnetic field, wherein securing the magnetic element to the portion of the needle assembly includes securing the magnetic element to be physically oriented at an angle with respect to the cannula such that the magnetic axis of the magnetic element is in coaxial alignment with the longitudinal axis of the cannula when the cannula is disposed through a center opening of the magnetic element.
