1. A method of aligning and fixating bone, comprising:
obtaining an alignment and fixation device, the device having a body with a bone facing surface, an opposing surface, a lateral surface disposed between the bone facing surface and the opposing surface, and a width axis extending through the bone facing surface and the opposing surface, the body defining a first hole, a second hole, and a third hole, the third hole having a diameter from the bone facing surface to the opposing surface;
positioning the bone facing surface of the alignment and fixation device on a foot of a patient;
inserting a pin through the first hole and into skin of the patient to secure the alignment and fixation device to the foot of the patient;
adjusting bone, using an adjustment device, from a misaligned position to an aligned position, wherein the adjusting step comprises:
inserting a first tip of forceps at least partially into the second hole;
engaging a second tip of the forceps to a portion of the foot; and
clamping the forceps; and
passing an entirety of a head and shaft of a first bone fastener completely through the third hole to secure the bone in the aligned position.
