1. A system for mitigating disruption of a telecommunications network service in an Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem layer, the system comprising:
a diameter routing agent (DRA);
one or more processors; and
computer memory storing computer-usable instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the DRA to perform operations comprising:
introducing a skip Home Subscriber Server (HSS) flag in a Call Session Control Function (CSCF) or an application server associated with the DRA;
transmitting, via the CSCF or the application server, a request to an HSS;
in response to transmitting the request, determining a loss of connectivity between the DRA and the HSS; and
based on determining the loss of connectivity between the DRA and the HSS:
automatically selecting a local Serving CSCF based on a Fully Qualified Domain Name and based on instructions of the skip HSS flag; or
automatically transmitting a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) response that indicates the request was successful to a local Interrogating CSCF for relay to a user device for registration based on the instructions of the skip HSS flag.
