1. A method for communicating in a wireless network, comprising:
transmitting, from a wireless device to an access point (AP), prior to the wireless device associating with the AP, an Access Network Query Protocol (ANQP) request for Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) network information; and
receiving, at the wireless device, prior to the wireless device associating with the AP, an ANQP response to the ANQP request, wherein the ANQP response comprises the 3GPP network information, wherein the 3GPP network information comprises information about access to a service provider.
