1. A system, comprising:
a switching converter coupled between a battery terminal and a ground terminal, wherein the switching converter includes a first switch and a second switch;
a switch driver circuit having first and second switch driver outputs coupled to the first switch and second switch, respectively;
a comparator having a comparator output and first and second comparator inputs, wherein the comparator is configured to provide a first control signal at the comparator output to control the first switch and the second switch; and
an analog on-time extension circuit configured to extend an on-time of the first switch by gating a second control signal with the first control signal, wherein the second control signal is different from the first control signal, and the second control signal initiates turning the first switch off.
