1. A radio-frequency system comprising:
a self-complementary antenna characterized by an input impedance;
a coupling element characterized by a characteristic impedance and coupling the self-complementary antenna to a signal generator;
a resistive matching network configured to match the characteristic impedance of the coupling element to the input impedance of the self-complementary antenna; and
a back-coupling line coupling the signal generator to a signal processor, wherein the input impedance of the self-complimentary antenna is decoupled from a signal frequency of a signal transmitted from the signal generator across an operational frequency band; wherein the coupling element couples the self-complementary antenna to the signal processor; and wherein the resistive matching network is electrically connected between the self-complementary antenna and the coupling element.
