1. An apparatus for sensing a stylus, comprising:
a stylus sensor including a plurality of electrodes, wherein the stylus sensor is disposed on a display area of a display device that drives a plurality of pixels according to a vertical synchronization signal and a horizontal synchronization signal; and
a driver/receiver configured to apply a driving signal to at least one of the plurality of electrodes during a first section, and receive a detection signal from at least one of the plurality of electrodes during a second section after the first section in synchronizing with at least one synchronization signal of the horizontal synchronization signal and the vertical synchronization signal.
