11. A computer-implemented method comprising:
initiating a media recording process to record media data on a computer system in connection with a user operating a service application, the service application enabling the user to provide transport services through a network service,
wherein the media recording process includes structuring recorded media data into multiple media files that are each unrenderable on the computer system;
processing data generated from the service application executing on the computer system to identify one or more trip activities that occur while the media recording process is being performed;
for each of the one or more trip activities, associating a corresponding label with one or more of the multiple media files that include media data recorded at a time that coincides with the trip activity;
storing each media file in association with the corresponding label, and with metadata that reflects an original state of the media file; and
enabling the one or more media files associated with the corresponding label of each of the one or more trip activities to be transmitted to a remote computer system, each transmitted media file being provided with fingerprint data the is based on the associated metadata.
