               1. A V-type engine in which cylinders where pistons operate are arranged in a V-shape and a crankshaft driven by driving of the pistons is disposed vertically, the V-type engine comprising:
exhaust pipes each communicating with exhaust openings in respective banks of a cylinder head; and
a catalyst holder that is provided in each of the exhaust pipes and that holds a catalyst on an upper side of each of the banks, wherein
the catalyst holder includes an inner tube and an outer tube, the inner tube is attached to the cylinder head and the catalyst is housed on an inner side of the inner tube, the outer tube is disposed on an outer side of the inner tube,
the V-type engine further comprises a first cooling water piping and a second cooling water piping, each of the first and second cooling water piping communicate with a space between the inner tube and the outer tube and communicate with a cooling water channel provided inside the cylinder head, each of the first and second cooling water piping deliver part of cooling water to be delivered to the cylinder head to the catalyst holder, and
a first end of a secondary piping is connected to the first cooling water piping, and a second end of the secondary piping is provided with a water pump that delivers cooling water at start-up of the engine.
