1. A process for treating an article of clothing comprising the steps of:
providing an article of clothing in a washing machine; and contacting said article of clothing during a wash sub-cycle of said washing machine with a composition comprising a plurality of particles, said particles comprising:
25% to 94% by weight a water soluble carrier;
10% to 45% by weight a quaternary ammonium compound; and
0.5% to 10% by weight a cationic polymer;
wherein said plurality of particles comprises individual particles, each individual particle having a mass from 1 mg to 1 g; and
wherein said water soluble carrier is selected from the group of EO/PO/EO block copolymer, PO/EO/PO block copolymer, EO/PO block copolymer, PO/EO block copolymer, and combinations thereof, wherein EO is a —CH2CH2O— group and PO is a —CH(CH3)CH2O— group.
