1. A method of decontaminating a device, the method comprising the steps of:
providing a device decontamination system with a terminal package in fluid communication with an accumulator apparatus;
performing decontamination within the terminal package by cycling between a first phase and a second phase;
in the first phase, delivering sterilant fluid from the accumulator apparatus by introducing a vacuum within the terminal package; and
in the second phase, drawing sterilant fluid into the accumulator apparatus by injecting a sterilant fluid into the terminal package.
