1. A method implemented in an ophthalmic laser system for forming lenticule incisions in a cornea of an eye, comprising:
coupling the eye to the ophthalmic laser system to applanate the eye;
obtaining a wavefront map which has been registered to the cornea of the applanated eye and defined at an anterior surface of the cornea;
calculating a lenticule thickness profile which represents a thickness of cornea tissue to be removed based on the wavefront map and a correction factor using
![]() where Δ(r, φ) is the lenticule thickness as a function of a radius r from a Z axis and a meridian angle φ around the Z axis, RK is an average radius of curvature of the cornea anterior surface before applanation, L is a radius of an optical zone of the lenticule, nc is a refractive index of the cornea, W(r, φ) is the wavefront map, Wmax is a parameter corresponding to a maximum value of the wavefront, and γMT denotes the correction factor;
calculating cutting profiles for a bottom lenticule incision surface and a top lenticule incision surface based on the lenticule thickness profile; and
operating the ophthalmic laser system to incise the cornea according to the cutting profiles to form the bottom and top lenticule incision surfaces.
