1. A wearable device for obtaining at least one bodily function measurement, comprising:
an outer body shaped as a part of a wristwatch and configured to be wearable on a wrist adjacent to a first hand of a user, the outer body including a top surface, a bottom surface, and a side surface;
a touchscreen coupled to the top surface of the outer body;
a plurality of sensors, a first sensor of the plurality of sensors comprising a first electrode coupled to the bottom surface of the outer body, the first electrode positioned to be contacted by the wrist of the user;
a multifunction contact button comprising a second electrode of the first sensor, wherein the multifunction contact button is coupled to the side surface of the outer body and positioned to be contacted by a finger or thumb of a second hand of the user, the multifunction contact button configured to (i) receive user input to interact with the wearable device, (ii) provide, based on the user input, information to initiate a transition of the wearable device from a normal course of operation to a measurement mode and to initiate an electrocardiogram (ECG) measurement, or (iii) a combination thereof, and wherein the wearable device is configured to obtain photoplethysmography (PPG) measurements in the normal course of operation; and
a processor contained within the outer body and communicatively coupled to the plurality of sensors, the processor configured to, in response to the wearable device transitioning to the measurement mode, obtain one or more ECG measurements based on signals received from the first electrode and the second electrode, obtain one or more PPG measurements based on signals received from a second sensor of the plurality of sensors, or a combination thereof.
