1. A computer-implemented method for determining an emotional state of a user, comprising:
obtaining a facial expression of the user;
receiving prior communication data associated with the user, wherein the prior communication data includes at least a textual communication or an audio communication;
determining a preliminary emotional state of the user based on the facial expression of the user;
assigning a first importance value to the prior communication data and a second importance value to the preliminary emotional state;
determining a final emotional state of the user based on the preliminary emotional state weighted by the second importance value and the prior communication data weighted by the first importance value; and
causing to display the final emotional state to the user.
