1. A dynamic-voltage-control pixel, comprising:
a pixel memory;
an input circuit operable, at a non-zero refresh voltage, to receive pixel data and store the pixel data in the pixel memory;
a light emitter comprising a light-emitting diode; and
an output circuit operable, at a non-zero drive voltage, to read the pixel data from the pixel memory and then control the light emitter to generate light in response to the non-zero drive voltage and output the generated light according to the pixel data,
wherein the drive voltage is less than the refresh voltage, and
wherein the dynamic-voltage-control pixel is operable to dynamically select both the drive voltage and the refresh voltage based on a mode-select signal between a drive mode and a refresh mode.
