1. An image displaying system comprising:
an image generation apparatus configured to down-sample image data of an image to produce down-sampled image data and transmit the down-sampled image data corresponding to the image to a display apparatus; and
the display apparatus configured to:
up-sample the down-sampled image data to produce up-sampled image data corresponding to the image,
generate a modified image corresponding to the image by applying a distortion correction to the up-sampled image data, wherein applying the distortion correction comprises applying an opposite change to a change corresponding to chromatic aberration of the eyepiece of the display apparatus and for each primary color of a plurality of primary colors of the image; and
display, through the eyepiece, the modified image.
