1. A method to assess clogging associated with a first well where the following steps are performed in order, comprising:
maintaining the first well in a quiescent state for a period of time, wherein water is not pumped from the first well in the quiescent state;
turning a pump attached to the first well to an ON state, wherein water is pumped from the first well during the ON state;
receiving a first water sample from the first well during the ON state, wherein the first water sample is collected during a time period corresponding to a first surge in mobile particles;
determining a first concentration of mobile particles during the first surge;
waiting a subsequent time after the receiving;
repeating, after the waiting, the maintaining, the turning, and the receiving to obtain a second water sample during a time period corresponding to a second surge in mobile particles;
determining a second concentration of mobile particles during the second surge; and
analyzing a difference between the first concentration of mobile particles and the second concentration of mobile particles for clogging specific information related to a state of clogging associated with the first well.
