1. A method for providing a finishing pattern on a workpiece (2) by a laser apparatus (1) comprising at least one laser source (10), generating an output laser beam (11), moving means (12) for moving said laser beam and a control unit (101) for controlling said laser source (10) and said moving means (12), the method comprising the steps of:
providing command instructions for operating said laser apparatus (1) for scribing a predetermined finishing pattern on a workpiece (2),
operating said laser source (10) and said moving means (12) for generating said output laser beam (11) for scribing lines of the predetermined finishing pattern on said workpiece (2) according to said command instructions,
wherein said step of operating said laser source comprises varying a scanning speed (V) of the laser beam (11) and maintaining a duty cycle (DC) of the laser beam (11) at a constant value, wherein varying the scanning speed (V) of the laser beam (11) comprises varying the scanning speed (V) of the laser beam (11) proportionally to a pulse repetition rate (fr) of the laser source (10).
