1. A computer-readable non-transitory storage medium having stored therein a game program for executing a game on an information processing terminal of a user, the program causing a computer of the information processing terminal to:
on the basis of a first start instruction input from the user, start the game that is based on predetermined initial setting data and uses a user character of the user;
advance the game started by the first start instruction input, on the basis of an operation input from the user;
at a first timing after the game is started by the first start instruction input, finish advancement of the game, and transmit advancement state data indicating an advancement state of the game at the first timing, to a server;
on the basis of a second start instruction input from the user, start the game that is based on the advancement state data transmitted to the server by another information processing terminal operated by another user different from the user and acquired from the server by the information processing terminal of the user, the game using an other-user character having been used in the game by the other user and the user character of the user;
on the basis of an operation input from the user, advance the game started on the basis of the second start instruction input;
at a second timing after the game is started on the basis of the second start instruction input, finish advancement of the game, and transmit advancement state data indicating an advancement state of the game at the second timing, to the server; and
in a case where a victory condition of the game is satisfied by a time when the second timing has come, transmit advancement state data indicating an advancement state of the game until the victory condition is satisfied, to the server.
