1. An automated chest compression (CC) system comprising:
a chest compressor configured to administer chest compressions to a patient for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) treatment of the patient;
a patient support structure configured to couple to the chest compressor and to at least one tilt adjuster and comprising at least a head support section and a torso support section, wherein the patient support structure has a superior end proximate to the head of the patient, an inferior end, a posterior surface, and an anterior surface adapted to support the back of the patient resting on the anterior surface;
the at least one tilt adjuster configured to tilt the head support section to a tilt angle relative to the torso support section to enable elevation of the patient's head relative to the patient's heart during the administration of chest compressions to the patient;
a user interface disposed at least in part on the patient support structure at the superior end proximate to the head of the patient and configured to capture user input indicative of the tilt angle, the user interface comprising a tilt selection button;
one or more tilt sensors; and
at least one CC device controller configured to:
initiate a timer configured to measure an elapsed time since the CPR treatment commenced,
cause the user interface to provide a notification for repositioning the patient's head relative to the patient's heart a predetermined period of time after commencement of the CPR treatment as measured by the timer,
cause the at least one tilt adjuster to tilt the head support section from a horizontal position to a preset tilt angle above a horizontal axis to elevate the patient's head relative to the patient's heart and in response to at least one indication of a button press of the tilt selection button received by the user interface,
control the chest compressor to administer the chest compressions at a resuscitative rate,
receive one or more signals, from the one or more tilt sensors, indicative of tilt information comprising an elevation of the head support section relative to the torso support section indicating the elevation of the patient's head relative to the patient's heart,
determine the tilt information from one or more signals, and
provide the tilt information comprising the elevation to the user interface.
