1. A beverage comprising:
a non-protein portion comprising water, vitamins, and minerals, wherein the vitamins include at least Vitamin B12, Vitamin B6, and Vitamin C, and wherein the minerals comprise at least magnesium and manganese; and
a protein portion consisting of collagen and a dipeptide selected from the group consisting of prolylhydroxyproline (Pro-Hyp), hydroxyprolyl-glycine (Hyp-Gly), and combinations thereof, and wherein the collagen is a hydrolyzed collagen that comprises peptides having molecular weights that are less than 2000 Daltons wherein the collagen is isolated from a plant expressing recombinant collagen, wherein the collagen has a concentration range between 1 milligram/liter to about 8440 milligram/liter.
