1. A method performed by a user equipment (UE) for small data transmission (SDT), the method comprising:
initiating an SDT procedure;
selecting a synchronization signal/physical broadcast channel block (SSB) after initiating the SDT procedure;
performing a transmission based on the selected SSB during the SDT procedure;
starting or restarting a timer for monitoring a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) in response to performing the transmission; and
monitoring the PDCCH, while the timer is running and an indication of beam information on the PDCCH is absent, by assuming that the PDCCH has same demodulation reference signal (DM-RS) antenna port quasi co-location properties as the selected SSB associated with the transmission.
