1. An automated camera system that is configured to search for an object emitting or reflecting a certain wavelength of light, said system comprising:
a single digital video camera comprising firmware, wherein said camera is capable of capturing video images, wherein said camera is configured to capture images of objects emitting or reflecting a certain range of wavelengths of light;
a computer in communication with said camera wherein the camera feeds images from said single digital video camera to the computer, wherein said computer runs image analysis software for analyzing images received from said camera, wherein said image analysis software is configured to isolate pixel groups in each image, wherein those pixel groups fit a wavelength or color pattern of an object being searched, and wherein the image analysis software is configured to: convert an image into an HSV (Hue, Saturation, Value) color space version of the image: convert an image into an RGB (Red, Green, Blue) color space version of the image: isolate the color of a single object in the image in both HSV and RGB color space versions; and combine the results of the HSV and RGB color space versions into a single mask.
