1. A system for fault localization in a Passive Optical Network (PON), the system comprising:
one or more servers communicatively connected to a wireless mesh network overlaying the PON, the wireless mesh network including a plurality of nodes, the plurality of nodes including a plurality of last mile termination units of the PON configured to transmit, via the wireless mesh network, one or more signals indicative of a loss of optical connectivity of at least some of the plurality of last mile termination units with the PON, and
the one or more servers configured to:
obtain, via the wireless mesh network, the one or more signals indicative of the loss of optical connectivity of the at least some of the plurality of last mile termination units with the PON; and
cause an indication of the loss of optical connectivity of the at least some of the plurality of last mile termination units with the PON to be provided to at least one of a user interface or another computing device.
