1. A system for secure delivery of prescribed medications, said system comprising:
a patient prescription database subsystem comprising one or more servers and one or more databases comprising prescription information and authentication information associated with patient data, said one or more servers comprising software instructions, which when executed, configure said one or more servers to:
receive said patient data for a particular patient from a requesting device;
verify said patient data for said particular patient, and where said patient data for said particular patient is successfully verified:
query said one or more databases to retrieve said prescription information associated with said patient data for said particular patient;
transmit said prescription information retrieved from said one or more databases to said requesting device;
receive, from said requesting device, a selection of a particular prescription from said prescription information transmitted to said requesting device; and
receive, from said requesting device, a selection of a delivery option for the prescription, said delivery option comprising a delivery location;
a delivery subsystem configured to:
program a lockable container with the authentication information for said particular patient; and
program a drone configured to carry said lockable container with the delivery location; and
said lockable container comprising:
a compartment sized to receive at least one prescription medication container;
an access panel configured for movement between an opened position where said compartment is accessible and a closed position where said compartment is inaccessible;
a locking device configured for movement between a locked position where said access panel is secured in said closed position and an unlocked position where said access panel is movable between said opened position and said closed position;
an authentication device;
a tamper resistance device configured comprising one or more of: a shredder located within the compartment, a multipart resin configured to harden when combined, an external siren, and an external facing camera; and
a controller in electronic communication with said locking device and said authentication device, wherein said controller comprises software instructions, which when executed, configures said controller to:
receive authentication data from said authentication device;
verify said authentication data locally against the authentication information;
where said authentication data is successfully verified, command said locking device to move into said unlocked position; and
activate said tamper resistance device where one or more of:
said authentication data is unsuccessfully verified after a predetermined number of consecutive attempts;
forced entry is detected;
a remote activation signal is received; and
the drone is determined to be off course for at least a predetermined period of time, away from a final location by at least a predetermined margin, and/or experiencing one or more errors.
