1. A system for calculating a route score of a route, comprising:
one or more road infrastructure communication devices, wherein the road infrastructure communication devices comprise a camera external to a vehicle; and
a server, comprising:
at least one processor; and
at least one memory storing computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the server to:
receive road infrastructure data from the road infrastructure communication devices;
process the road infrastructure data received from the road infrastructure communication devices to determine the route score of the route, wherein the route score is based upon at least one of: (i) frequency of hills on the route, and/or (ii) steepness of hills on the route; and
calculate a driving performance score for a driver driving the vehicle based on the route score, and use the driving performance score to calculate a risk rating for the driver of the vehicle.
