1. A data integrity monitoring system, comprising:
a cloud server connected to a data source engine via a network and having:
a storage unit;
a file server for receiving data from the data source engine and saving the data in the storage unit;
an event handler connected to the file server for detecting events representing the saving of the data;
a queuing engine connected to the event handler for storing metadata of the events; and
a monitoring engine connected to the cloud server and configured to:
determine characteristics of the metadata including:
a difference between (i) a time elapsed between receipt of the data and receipt of a preceding update to the data, and (ii) an average time between updates corresponding to the data; and
a difference between (i) a number of files in the received data, and (ii) a baseline number of files corresponding to the received data;
determine whether the characteristics of the metadata exceed at least one data integrity threshold;
when the characteristics of the metadata exceed the at least one data integrity threshold, initiate a response process to control availability of partition data associated with the events to an engine that accesses the partition data.
