1. A computing device configured to couple to a display, the computing device comprising:
an ambient detection module configured to detect a characteristic of ambient light relative to at least a portion of a display area of the display;
a displayed image optimization module configured to optimize a feature of at least a portion of a displayed image based, at least in part, on the characteristic of the ambient light wherein the displayed image optimization module is configured to optimize the feature of the at least a portion of the displayed image based, at least in part, on at least one of a viewer preference, a viewer characteristic, and a viewer emotional state;
a calibration module configured to at least one of ascertain a viewer preference, capture a viewer characteristic, and/or capture a viewer biometric data, and to store at least one of the viewer preference, the viewer characteristic data and the viewer biometric data in a viewer profile associated with a unique viewer identifier, and
wherein the computing device is configured to couple to at least one of another computing device to share viewer profile data and a smart visual display server to facilitate machine learning.
