9. An information handling system, comprising:
a processor; and
a memory storing instructions that when executed cause the processor to perform operations including:
claiming ownership of a shared mailbox;
configuring the shared mailbox as a redundant array of independent drives (RAID) controller;
creating a RAID volume from at least one non-volatile memory express drive; and
exposing the RAID volume during a boot process to a basic input/output system (BIOS).
