1. A method for additive manufacturing, the method comprising:
acquiring an initial image of a three-dimensional object being constructed by an additive manufacturing process based on an object model;
isolating a particular layer of the three-dimensional object that is depicted by the initial image;
acquiring information pertaining to the particular layer;
registering the initial image, wherein the information pertaining to the particular layer is used as a mask, wherein the mask is aligned with the initial image, and wherein the initial image registration includes transforming the initial image to account for one or more aspects of an environment and context of the initial image;
generating a three-dimensional model of the three-dimensional object using the registered initial image;
identifying a discrepancy between the three-dimensional model and the object model, wherein identifying the discrepancy further comprises assigning an error value to a deviation between a reconstructed object model and the object model, wherein the error value represents a percentage of pixels of the reconstructed object model that deviate from pixels of the object model, and wherein the discrepancy is identified based on determining the error value exceeds a pre-determined threshold value;
determining a reconfiguration recommendation based on the identified discrepancy, wherein determining the reconfiguration recommendation further comprises receiving initial parameter values pertaining to parameters of the additive manufacturing process, wherein the reconfiguration recommendation includes a particular adjustment to a particular parameter to change an initial parameter value of the particular parameter to an adjusted parameter value; and
reconfiguring the additive manufacturing process based on the reconfiguration recommendation, wherein reconfiguring the additive manufacturing process includes automatically adjusting the initial parameter value of the particular parameter based on the adjusted parameter value, wherein the particular parameter that is automatically adjusted at least includes a temperature at which a material is applied to build the three-dimensional object, a speed at which the material is applied to build the three-dimensional object, and a geometry of the three-dimensional object.
