1. A method, comprising:
obtaining, during a motion of an electronic device, one or more radar signals from a radar sensor of the electronic device;
identifying a motion characteristic corresponding to a user carrying or wearing the electronic device and based on a related motion of the electronic device, the motion characteristic corresponding to the electronic device based at least in part on the one or more radar signals;
detecting an object in an environment of the electronic device based at least in part on the one or more radar signals;
classifying the object based at least in part on the one or more radar signals and the identified motion characteristic, wherein the object comprises a stationary object, and wherein classifying the object comprises:
identifying, using the one or more radar signals, a second cadence corresponding to the object, and
determining that the second cadence substantially matches a first cadence corresponding to the motion characteristic related to the electronic device; and
determining, by the electronic device, whether to generate an alert based on the detecting and classifying of the object.
