1. An electronic device comprising:
a transceiver; and
a processor operably connected to the transceiver, the processor configured to:
transmit, via the transceiver, radar signals for object detection,
determine whether to use a first mode for object detection or a second mode for object detection using a multi-frame utilization rate,
in response to a determination to use the second mode for object detection, determine whether a moving object is detected using received reflections of the radar signals corresponding to multiple radar frames,
determine whether a moving object is detected using received reflections of the radar signals corresponding to a current radar frame,
in response to a determination that no moving object is detected using the current radar frame, determine whether a moving object is detected using the received reflections of the radar signals corresponding to the multiple radar frames, and
generate a detection result indicating that (i) no moving object is detected using the multiple radar frames or (ii) the moving object is detected using either the current radar frame or the multiple radar frames,
wherein the radar signals are transmitted in frames of a first time duration that are separated by a frame spacing of a second time duration, wherein the second time duration is longer than the first time duration.
