1. A method for drilling a wellbore with an invert-emulsion drilling fluid, comprising:
preparing the invert-emulsion drilling fluid by:
reacting a C-36 dimer diamine with hydrochloric acid to form a C-36 dimer diamine dihydrochloride salt (CDDH);
drying the CDDH to form a CDDH solid;
dissolving calcium chloride in water to form a calcium chloride solution;
dissolving the CDDH solid in the calcium chloride solution to form a CDDH solution;
mixing an emulsifier with a nonaqueous solvent to form an initial mixture;
adding the CDDH solution to the initial mixture to form the invert-emulsion drilling fluid;
adding drilling fluid additives to the invert-emulsion drilling fluid to form a drilling mud; and
using the drilling mud to remove cuttings from the wellbore during drilling.
