1. A paint roller cover having a porous sleeve covering installed thereon, wherein the paint roller cover has about a9.5 mm (% inch) or about a 12.7 mm (1/inch) nap or thickness and about 3.81 mm (1.5 inch) inner core diameter and wherein the porous sleeve covering has a circumferential direction and a longitudinal direction, said porous sleeve covering comprises a fabric material having:
a stretch in the circumferential direction of less than 35% at a load of 2 kgf/5 cm,
a stretch in the longitudinal direction of less than 125% at a load of 2 kgf/5 cm, wherein in each stretch measurement a strip of the fabric material of 5 cm wide in a relaxed state away from the paint roller cover to be stretched by a force of 2 kgf, and wherein the porous sleeve is dimensioned to compress the paint roller cover from 0.254 mm (10 mils) to 1.27 mm (50 mils),
a porosity of greater than 30%, and
a thickness from abet 0.15 mm to abet 0.65 mm
wherein the stretch in the longitudinal direction of the porous sleeve covering is higher than the stretch in the circumferential direction.
