(b) receive a request from a participant to participate in an event of the plurality of events, wherein the request comprises a description of one or more participant devices that are in the possession of the participant;
(c) determine whether the participant meets the set of requirements for participating in the event based on the one or more participant devices in the possession of the participant;
(d) register the participant for the event as a high trust participant when the participant meets the set of requirements;
(e) receive a set of participant data generated by the one or more participant devices during the event time;
(f) determine a speed of the participant based on a set of position data captured by the one or more participant devices during a portion of the event;
(g) determine a movement status of the participant based on a set of movement data captured by the one or more participant devices during the portion of the event; and
(h) determine whether the participant can be verified as participating in the event based on the set of participant data and that the participant did not validly participate in the event when a step count during the portion of the event is not consistent with the speed during that portion of the event.
