1. An aqueous firefighting composition comprising:
about 20-50 wt. % of a sodium and/or potassium salt of an organic acid;
a surfactant mixture containing an alkylpolyglycoside surfactant, an alkyl sulfate anionic surfactant, an alkyliminodialkylcarboxylate surfactant, a zwitterionic surfactant, or a mixture of any two or more thereof;
an alkoxylated acetylenic diol surfactant, an acetylenic diol derivative surfactant, a siloxane-based surfactant, or a mixture of any two or more thereof;
about 2-25 wt. % a mixture of an alkylene glycol and glycerol in a weight ratio of about 0.1:1 to 5:1;
a corrosion inhibitor; and
at least about 40 wt. % water.
