1. A method for deploying an electrode in the skull of a subject, the electrode including a body connected to an integral electrode lead, the method comprising the steps of:
(a) loading the electrode onto a delivery tool;
(b) advancing the delivery tool so that the electrode lead of the electrode is inserted through the skull of the patient;
(c) ejecting the electrode lead from the delivery tool so that the electrode lead is positioned in the skull of the subject, wherein said ejecting the electrode comprises deploying an integral lead ejector from the delivery tool; and
(d) withdrawing the delivery tool so that the electrode lead remains implanted in the subject.
