1. A method of treating or preventing a respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in a human subject, the method comprising administering to the subject a nutritional composition comprising (a) one or more carotenoids comprising at least one of lutein, lycopene, zeaxanthin, and beta-carotene, in which the total amount of the one or more carotenoids in the nutritional composition is 1 mcg/mL or less, and (b) from about 0.001 mg/ml to about 20 mg/mL of the human milk oligosaccharides 2′-fucosyllactose.
