1. An implant, comprising:
a first body member and a second body member;
at least one bone contacting arched member extending between the first body member and the second body member; and
a first peripheral bone contacting element extending from the first body member to the second body member on a first lateral side of the implant;
a second peripheral bone contacting element extending from the first body member to the second body member on a second lateral side of the implant; and
a central bone contacting element that extends between the first peripheral bone contacting element and the second peripheral bone contacting element;
wherein the at least one bone contacting arched member bridges from the first body member to the central bone contacting element and bridges from the central bone contacting element to the second body member.
