1. A cap for alleviating discomfort associated with neuroma formation, the cap comprising:
a body having a distal end and a proximal end, wherein the body comprises:
a single opening located at the proximal end of the body;
an internal chamber defined by the body and extending from the proximal end towards the distal end; and
at least one divider within the internal chamber that subdivides at least a portion of the internal chamber at a distal end of the internal chamber;
wherein the internal chamber includes a retaining cavity between the single opening at the proximal end and the at least one divider.
